In business since 1984 family owned and operated! Proud to offer our turkey roasters.

Hello Everyone,

In most homes today there is a pan that is tucked away most of the year and only brought out a couple of times for special occasion use. What a waste that is ! I have told you in the past that I really enjoy kitchen equipment with multiple uses and the roasting pan we get out each year for a turkey is such a great pan it's really a shame it isn't used more.

Whether you have one of the old, blue and white speckled, porcelain clad pans or one of the newer stainless steel models, ( most of which are a bit smaller ) this can be one of your favorite pans year round. Try using it when you have more people to feed than normal or, for that matter, most anytime if you have more than a couple of people in your family. How ? Well,....

When I make a meal that is time consuming I often double or even triple the recipe. That way I can freeze what we won't be using and have it later with little notice or effort. Pot roast, chili, and stew are very good examples of the type of dish I'm speaking of. I don't think I would try chili in a roasting pan, but I have fixed pot roast and stew in mine. Fix a turkey sometime when you have company, other than the holidays. After it is in the oven just think of all the time you'll have to visit. Too cold to BBQ outside? Fix the same recipe in the oven in your roasting pan. I'm sure you have fixed a ham in your roasting pan but how about some time other than Easter? A large standing rib roast with roasted potatoes is easily accommodated in this lovely pan. Perhaps you are a member of a large fraternal group and you take turns preparing a meal for the group. This way you can prepare it at home and not have to spend the entire afternoon at the club so you can watch your dish. You know, the more you think about it the more ways you can use this pan !

Now, I don't know if Kitchen Fantasy has the big blue and white speckled enamel pans but I got my stainless steel one from him and I'm ready to bet with the holidays so near :-) he will have some in stock and the really good part is how reasonably priced you will find them. I think the ones he carries are EXTRA NICE.

Until next time,

Helen
